Research and early intervention for dyslexia are slowly gaining traction. In the philanthropic world, Charles Schwab, who is dyslexic, allocated $20 million in 2019 to an initiative aimed at studying dyslexia and other learning disorders. As part of his 2022-23 budget, California Governor Gavin Newsom included $60 million for early childhood dyslexia screenings.
